Bali Kavitesh Kumar
Founder, KAI
Dr. Bali Kavitesh Kumar is the founder and visionary behind KAI. Born and raised in Fiji, he holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and served as an AI Scientist at the Centre for Frontier AI Research (CFAR) under A*STAR Singapore.
Motivated by a desire to make cutting-edge technology truly inclusive, Dr. Bali left a high-profile research career to bring impactful AI solutions to regions often overlooked—starting with the South Pacific and extending to emerging markets worldwide.
He leads KAI’s mission to deliver secure, responsible, and accessible AI that drives progress across business support and automation, education, healthcare, climate resilience, and more. Under his leadership, KAI is gaining recognition globally—including a $200K USD Google for Startups Award—for advancing AI that empowers governments, businesses, and nonprofits to solve real-world challenges at scale.
